I'm in need to make a big hole- apprx. 5"- in a big block- apprx 1.5" thick- of T1 steel. I wasn't overly familiar with that spec, so a quick Google gives me either A514-T1 or T1-321/T1-360, all high-wear, abrasion-resistant steels. I don't know the precise spec for the supplied block apart from just "T1", at the moment.
Jan 13, 2011 · We use alot of A514 Gr. B and both RHA (MIL-STD-125600) and High Hard Steel (MIL-STD-46100) armor plate. The A514 is tough to machine but it is a dream compared to the RHA and HHS.
